October 15, 2025 [Renewables Now]- Saudi Arabian Refineries Company (TADAWUL:2030), or SARCO, and UAE-based Go Energy Company have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to explore the feasibility of developing a green hydrogen-ammonia project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Under the pact, the companies will conduct a joint study on the proposed project and work out a legal framework to support cooperation between the two parties.

Umm Al Quwain-based Go Energy specialises in solar energy and green hydrogen, offering advisory and development services. Its team has more than 20 years of experience in renewable energy projects on all continents.

SARCO is focused on the extraction of crude oil, as well as the construction and operation of refineries and petrochemical plants.

The contemplated green hydrogen initiative aligns with the Saudi refinery’s strategy to expand its energy services through specialised partnerships in the energy sector, it said.
