Rubis Rotterdam Expands Tank Capacity

November 16, 2011 [Port of Rotterdam] – Rubis Tank Terminal is expanding its tank capacity in the Rotterdam Botlek area with four mild steel tanks of 6,300 m3 each.


The new capacity can be utilised for chemicals and/or biofuels. The tanks can, upon customer demand, be connected to load/unload stations for all modes of transport: sea-going vessels, inland vessels, trains and trucks.

After completion, in the fourth quarter of 2012, the total capacity of the terminal will be 147,000 m3. Meanwhile, GEKA building contractors started breaking ground (Photo). The tanks will be constructed on site.
