Romania: OMV Petrom Builds New €18mn Fuel Storage Terminal

February 5, 2018 [PetrolPlaza] - The biggest oil and gas group in Romania is investing €18 million in a new fuel storage terminal to support its growing business, reports Romania Insider.


The project is being developed in cooperation with the Arad local government, which will invest €1.5 million in the construction of access roads and will promote an industrial park by the terminal.

Arad will become a very attractive city for fuel intensive industries,” said the mayor of Arad Gheorghe Falca.

The OMV Petrom group has a network of 787 gas stations in Romania and neighbouring countries operating under the Petrom and OMV brands.

On January 9, Christina Verchere (46) was appointed as the new President of the Executive Board and CEO of OMV Petrom.
