Puma Energy Buys BP Oil Storage Terminal in Northern Ireland
11.11.2016 - NEWS

November 11, 2016 [OPIS] - Puma Energy, an integrated midstream and downstream energy company, has today signed an agreement to buy BP's bulk storage fuel terminal in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

The value of the terminal sale was not disclosed.

The deal builds on the purchase of the 1.4-million-cubic-meter-capacity terminal at Milford Haven in the U.K. last year, Puma said in a statement this week. The Belfast terminal provides storage for gasoline, distillates and jet fuel, with a berth capable of handling Medium Range oil tanker cargoes.

The former refinery site has 20 bulk fuel storage tanks with a working capacity of some 143,000 cubic meters. It was converted to a terminal in 1982. The purchase brings the number of Puma’s bulk storage terminals to 100 globally, with a total storage volume of 7.9 million cubic meters.
