July 24, 2023 [TheDigest] – In Portugal, Reuters reports that the Portuguese government has given Galp the go ahead to launch a hydrogenated vegetable oil and sustainable aviation fuel facility at its Sines refinery.
The $302 million investment will use used cooking oil as feedstock to produce 262,700 metric tons of HVO annually and 193,000 tons of SAF and other products.
