Strategic Expansion Complete

Petronet LNG Limited has officially announced the successful commissioning of its expanded regasification facilities at the Dahej LNG terminal. This major upgrade enhances the terminal’s operational capability, raising the total capacity from 17.5 MMTPA to 22.5 MMTPA. The expansion reached its full operational status on March 31, 2026.

Strengthening India’s Energy Infrastructure

The expansion project is a critical component of the company’s long-term strategy to ensure energy security for the nation. By increasing the capacity by 5 MMTPA, Petronet LNG is better positioned to meet the escalating demand for clean-burning fuel across industrial and domestic sectors in India. This project reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to scaling its infrastructure to support the country’s transition toward a more gas-based economy.

Operational Impact

The commissioning of these additional facilities allows for higher volumes of LNG processing, providing greater flexibility and efficiency in supply chain management. With the terminal now operating at a 22.5 MMTPA capacity, Petronet LNG continues to reinforce its leadership role in the regional energy market, ensuring reliable gas supplies to its diverse customer base.
