June 27, 2012 [Biz Journals] - Oiltanking Partners LP has appointed Carlin Conner, who is chairman, president and CEO of the partnership’s general partner, as managing director of Oiltanking GmbH, effective immediately.
Conner replaces Rutger van Thiel, who is leaving Oiltanking and will no longer serve as a director on the board of the partnership’s general partner.
Conner also will join the executive board of Marquard & Bahls AG, the indirect owner of the partnership’s general partner, Oiltanking Partners said in its June 26 statement.
Conner will remain chairman of the board of the general partner of the partnership. He will remain CEO of the partnership until the board appoints his successor, for which the board is considering both internal and external candidates.
Houston-based Oiltanking Partners is a master limited partnership engaged in storage and transportation of crude oil, refined petroleum products and liquefied petroleum gas.
In April, Oiltanking Partners said it would invest $104 million in a crude oil storage expansion project at its Houston facility.
