Oil products transsipment at Vysotsk LUKOIL-II terminal in Jan-Aug falls 10%

September 6, 2010 [PortNews] - Freight flows via Vysotsk terminal LUKOIL-II (Leningrad region) in January-August amounted to 8,220 million tons, or more than 10% below the 2009’s figures, the Port Vysotsk operational data said. In August exports of petroleum products through the terminal totaled 1,145,000 tons (331,000 tons of VGO, 321,000 tons of MGO, 493,000 tons of HFO).

According to the forecast of LUKOIL, the terminal’s throughput this year will remain at the 2009’s level (about 14 million tons). According to traders, from the beginning of 2011 VGO exports via Vysotsk LUKOIL-II may be ceased. Then the amount of VGO may be replaced by fuel oil.

Marine Terminal Vysotsk LUKOIL-II is owned by LUKOIL, Russia’s largest private oil company. The terminal is designed for exports of petroleum products, produced by LUKOIL’s enterprises in Russia. In 2009 the terminal Vysotsk LUKOIL-II transshipped 13.9 million tons of petroleum products.
