Oil Down by 1% as Iraq Reopens Refinery

February 23, 2024 [Baha]- The prices of oil futures declined on Friday after Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani announced the reopening of the north refinery in Baiji after ten years and ahead of the newest Baker Hughes update on rig count in the United States.

 

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for April’s settlements decreased by 1.28% at 4:21 am ET to sell for $77.60 per barrel. A minute later, Brent for the same month’s deliveries fell by 1.18% to go for $82.71.
