Odfjell Terminals Awarded Project Bid Le Havre Port

November 16, 2012 [Odfjell Terminals B.V.] - GPMH (Grand Port Maritime du Havre) have selected Odfjell Terminals (Europe) B.V.’s, a subsidiary of OTLG C.V, which is a joint venture company between Odfjell Terminals B.V. and Lindsay Goldberg LLC, project proposal for the development of a green field liquid bulk storage terminal in the industrial zone of Le Havre Port.


The new project’s site is located along the Grand Canal Maritime and covers approximately 30 hectares.

In the coming months a feasibility study will be carried out for a terminal consisting of approximately 200,000 cubic meters storage capacity in the first phase. Odfjell and GPMH aim to finalize the project details and reach an agreement on a Site Reservation Protocol by 1 April 2013.

Le Havre Port is one of the largest ports in North-Europe, and has a strategic location as the first main port called at in Northern Europe. As a deep-water seaport accessible around the clock, Le Havre can accommodate all types of vessels. In Europe, Le Havre is also a major industrial port zone, among the leaders in energy and chemicals.
