November 9, 2022 [Nigeria News] – Determined to boost exportation in Nigeria, the Nigerian Ports Authority has inaugurated a new terminal, Diamondstar Export Processing Terminal, located in Ijora, Apapa, Lagos.

Speaking during the inauguration on Tuesday, the Managing Director, NPA, Muhammad Bello-Koko, said that the move was a demonstration of the NPA’s premium place on the speedy and prioritised handling of exports in a bid to make Nigeria export competitive in the global marketplace.

He noted that the initiative signposted the agency’s commitment to the implementation of the National Action Plan on Agro-Export.

The inauguration today of DiamondStar Export Processing Terminal as a pre-gate for processing all export bound containers entering Lagos ports using the road corridor is a demonstration of the premium we place on the speedy and prioritised handling of export in our bid to make Nigerian exports competitive in the global marketplace.

“This initiative signposts the Nigerian Ports Authority’s commitment to implementation of the National Action Plan on Agro-Export and the Federal Government of Nigeria desire to diversify the national economy from oil export to non-oil exports.”
