Magnum Energy's Utah NGL Propane Storage Open This Month
08.19.2014 - NEWS

August 19, 2014 [OPIS] - Magnum Energy opened an underground propane storage well earlier this month, a month behind schedule. With that launch, the company's underground salt-dome storage facility in Delta, Utah, has capacity of nearly 2 million bbl.

In May, Magnum opened a 1.3-million-bbl butane storage well. The propane storage well (estimated to hold 500,000 bbl) had been expected to open July 1.

Looking forward, Magnum is planning to open two additional storage wells in 2015. The capacity of those wells and type of product stored has not yet been determined, OPIS reported in March.

Company sources declined to state a reason for the delayed opening.
