Kozmino Oil Loading Terminal is Ready for Huge Oil Shipments
11.10.2009 - NEWS
The first crude oil supplies are already delivered to Kozmino by railway rolling stock from Skovorodino station.

Crude oil is delivered from oil unloading rack to oil tank farm through a scrapper station from where it will go to tanker loading site. The first tankers are expected to berth at the Spetsmornefteport facility in December, 2009.
The Kozmino storage facility is capable of holding up to 350,000 cubic meters of crude and oil products.
To prevent accidental oil spills the storage tank farm site is enclosed by protective systems. In addition, to prevent oil from migrating to the soil an impervious screen made of damp-proof membrane was placed along the facility.
Also, a reliable fire fighting system and anti-intrusion protection were developed by experts.
Experts agree that the marine oil loading terminal at the Kozmino Bay is one of the most ecologically friendly sites.
