Kemiwatt Raises Over €5 Million With Investments
10.28.2025 By Tank Terminals - NEWS

October 28, 2025 [Tank Storage Magazine]- Kemiwatt has announced the successful completion of a capital increase of more than €5 million. This round brings on board two new strategic investors: Stolt Ventures, corporate venture capital fund from Stolt-Nielsen, a global leader in liquid logistics, and Impact Océan Capital (IOC), an investment fund dedicated to maritime innovation and sustainability in Europe managed by GO Capital. Historical investors (Pierre-Yves Divet and Cadeis) have also chosen to reinvest in this round, confirming their confidence in Kemiwatt’s trajectory.

The funding round remains open, allowing additional investors to join this momentum and contribute to Kemiwatt’s growth.

Founded in Brittany, Kemiwatt designs and manufactures next-generation organic flow batteries based on safe, abundant, and recyclable electrolytes. These batteries are specifically designed to provide long-duration, large-scale energy storage solutions for renewable integration and industrial applications.

The participation of Stolt Ventures represents a big milestone for Kemiwatt’s technology, as Stolt Nielsen operates one of the world’s largest fleets of chemical tankers and bulk liquid terminals. Impact Océan Capital brings strong financial support combined with its mission to accelerate projects that transform and decarbonize the maritime and port ecosystem and offers privileged access to an extensive network of maritime stakeholders.

Guillaume Chazalet, CEO of Kemiwatt says: ‘We are delighted to welcome Stolt Ventures and Impact Océan Capital as strategic partners. Their industrial expertise and financial support will be instrumental in accelerating Kemiwatt’s commercial rollout and in positioning our organic flow batteries as a key solution for long duration storage in Europe and beyond.’
