Jetti Invests P2.6B for New Import Terminal

March 15, 2021 [Manila Bulletin] Flourishing independent oil player Jetti Petroleum Inc. has invested P2.6 billion for a new import terminal project in Pasacao, Camarines Sur to shore up petroleum supply flow in the Bicol region.

According to Jetti President Leo Bellas, the import facility is due for completion by end-May this year; and will kick off commercial operations by June.

The company chief executive emphasized that the new facility will have a storage capacity of 45 million liters and equipped with offshore facilities that are in keeping with international standards.

“Jetti considers the Bicol region as a new growth area. The company believes in the potential of the region and in terms of logistics, the Pasacao terminal will complement Jetti’s other import terminals in Bataan and Misamis Oriental,” Bellas said.

The company’s first oil import terminal in Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental was set up in 2004 with a capacity of 46 million liters; and the second one was in 2015 in Mariveles, Bataan for 72 million liters of capacity.

“Both terminals are designed for importing finished quality fuel products intended for its network of gasoline stations and the company’s commercial and industrial customers,” Bellas said.

On top of pursuing expansion projects, Jetti indicated that it will also be having its “rebranding” endeavor, that will then manifest ‘fresh and new look’ for its gasoline stations.

“Jetti’s retail customers will experience a newer and fresher look as the company has retrofitted most of its existing stations to carry the new brand logo and colors,” Bellas emphasized.

Presently, the company’s portfolio of gasoline stations already hovers at 150, and it further indicated it would still continually build up its retail network foothold.

“Jetti’s retail business partners and other stakeholders can expect more new stations to be built and added to the company’s network of gasoline stations in 2021,” Bellas noted.

The company has at least 60 gasoline stations lined up this year, with the first 10 stations completed and had been set on commercial stream within January to February this year; and additional 50 stations will be up for completion until December.

The oil firm chief executive similarly emphasized that with its expanding base of import terminals, Jetti has been able to shield itself from the menace of supply disruptions.

“Jetti’s customers can expect efficient service when fueling up in any Jetti gasoline station and can be assured of the company’s commitment to providing quality fuels at reasonable prices,” Bellas stated. (MMV)
