March 2, 2016 [OPIS] - Jet and kerosene inventories in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp trading hub reached 6.22 million bbl during the week ended Feb. 26, almost double the amount held in stocks at the same time a year ago.
On a week-on-week basis, the figure represents an increase of 6.3%.
Distillate inventories fell by 1.3% to 25.10 million bbl, according to data compiled by French investment bank BNP Paribas, citing data from PJK International. Distillate stocks are lower by almost 5% compared with a month ago, but up by 8.5% against a year earlier.
Inventories of middle distillates in the EU-16 member states, including France, Germany and the U.K. totaled 439.3 million bbl in December 2015, down by 0.5% on the previous month. But middle distillates stocks were almost 15% higher in the last month of the year compared with December 2014 and 13.5% above the five-year average, data shows.
