IOTC, Iran Pursuing Operational Purposes

July 08, 2013 [Fars News Agency] - Oil exports from Kharg oil terminal continue as usual and bad weather has not impeded loading operations from the island, Managing Director of Iran Oil Terminals Company (IOTC) said.


Seyyed Pirouz Mosavi said oil export operations are underway without any problem under the predetermined schedule and ceiling.

He added the IOTC is an operational, professional and expertise body enjoying skillful and experienced manpower, thus berthing ships and loading operations is underway with a high rate of security.

He further said that the company has no oil in floating oil storage facilities and those oil tankers berthing in piers are awaiting for loading oil.

During the last Iranian calendar year to March 2013, 900 oil tankers berthed 5.500 times in Kharg oil terminal in the Persian Gulf to take oil.

In addition to export of crude oil, import and export of oil products and maritime services, IOTC is in charge of storage, measurement and providing lab services.
