HydrogenPro, JHK Seal European Green Hydrogen Partnership

November 14, 2024 [Renewables Now]- Norwegian electrolyser maker HydrogenPro AS and industrial plant construction and engineering firm the J Heinr Kramer Group (JHK) have decided to team up for the implementation of green hydrogen projects with a capacity within the 5 MW-50 MW range across Germany, Austria and the Benelux countries.

The two companies have entered into an exclusive partnership to combine HydrogenPro’s high-pressured alkaline electrolyser technology with JHK’s expertise as a plant integrator and engineering, procurement and construction contractor, a press statement says.

HydrogenPro is primarily addressing the large scale hydrogen projects, but we recognise that parts of the market are entering the energy transition in initial smaller scale scopes. JHK brings the necessary know-how to use our advanced technology in smaller green hydrogen projects in the European market,” HydrogenPro’s CEO Jarle Dragvik noted.

HydrogenPro has been producing electrolysers since 2013. The company is cooperating with Andritz AG on larger scale projects, with the Austrian engineering group also having a shareholding in the Nordic firm.

Established in 1901 in Bremerhaven, JHK is a family business active internationally. The group houses six companies engaged in pipeline, steel and electrical plant construction, among other fields.
