October 25, 2016 [AD/TankTerminals.com] - Sources in Rotterdam report about HES International planning to build a new large tank terminal along the Mississippi Dock at the Maasvlakte 1.

HES International already owns a liquid bulk terminal in the Botlek area of the port of Rotterdam – Botlek Tank Terminal (BTT).

The new terminal is expected to be called Hartel Oil Terminal. It is understood to get a capacity of 1,2 – 1,3 million m³ in nearly 55 tanks. The products to be stored are, amongst others, gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, and ethanol. The terminal will be equipped to accommodate large sea going tankers as well as barges. The new terminal might also be connected by pipeline to a nearby refinery.
