November 12, 2018 [Tank News International] - Gate Terminal, the LNG terminal joint venture between Vopak and Gasunie has celebrated seven years in operation.

“We have grown from an import terminal for LNG to an international leading LNG hub,” the company said.

More than eighty enthusiastic employees give daily attention to optimal safety and service to customers. A safe working environment has been given the highest priority at Gate from the outset. Gate has an open safety culture. This means that we provide openness in reporting and space to initiatives that make the terminal even more reliable“.

That has led to the desired result: in seven years no accident with absenteeism, no medical treatment or adapted work. We have achieved this with each other by team spirit and by adapting us in time to changing circumstances. We are proud of this. And so we can continue our mission for the next seven years: Available as soon as the customer asks!

Vopak said: “Congratulations to our colleagues at our LNG terminal in Rotterdam for celebrating today 7 years in operations and great safety statistics. Keep up the good work!
