12.04.2024 By Tank Terminals - NEWS

December 04, 2024 [Gasum]- Gasum has today completed the acquisition of 100% of the shares in the Danish company Hærup Biogas ApS. Gasum published the acquisition 18 November.

Hærup Biogas ApS owns and operates a biogas plant in the northern part of mainland Denmark. Gasum plans to invest in a gas upgrading unit and a gas grid connection for the plant to fully utilize the existing production capacity.

The acquired operation is Gasum’s first biogas plant in Denmark.

The acquisition is part of Gasum’s strategic goal to bring seven terawatt hours (7 TWh) of renewable gas to the Nordic market yearly by 2027. Achieving the goal would mean a total emissions reduction of 1.8 million tons of carbon dioxide per year for Gasum’s customers.
