Five Companies Bid for JNPT’s 796 cr Additional Liquid Bulk Terminal

December 21, 2015 [The Times of India] - Five shipping and cargo handling companies have bid for the request for quotation (RFQ), which is a pre qualification bid, for the Rs 796 crore additional liquid bulk terminal with two 400m berths at JNPT.


A Hollandese company and one from UAE along with three Indian companies including Adani Ports have entered the fray.

The first phase of bidding is likely to finish by mid-January, after which the financial bid will be open for request for proposal (RFP), which could be finalized by mid-March, officials said. The terminal is a part of the PM’s ‘Make in India’ project.
