First vessel loading at Oiltanking Vitória terminal

The Oiltanking Vitória terminal is proud to announce the successful loading of its first vessel. In close cooperation with representatives of LASA, Bauche-Energy and SGS, a 5.000 cbm cargo of neutral grade ethanol was loaded into the “Fairchem Unicorn”.

Oiltanking Vitória will play an important role in the world’s leading and most competitive market for ethanol, where it will function as a distribution and export hub for cargos moving through Brazil. The current capacity of the terminal is 35,200 cbm and shall be further developed according to market needs.
This state-of-the-art terminal is built according to the latest environmental and safety standards and will be amongst the most modern terminals in Brazil. Oiltanking Vitória offers the opportunity to load and unload product via truck, vessel or rail. The terminal has access to a dedicated jetty and the FCA rail network, which connects the growing production centres in the States of Goiás and Minas Gerais to the port of Vitória. Also for ethanol producers in the State of Espírito Santo this new terminal is a welcome alternative.
Oiltanking GmbH is a subsidiary of Marquard & Bahls AG, Germany, a leading privately owned petroleum company. Oiltanking is the second-largest independent tank storage provider for petroleum products, chemicals and gases world-wide. The company owns and operates 63 terminals in 20 countries within Europe, North and South America, Middle East, India as well as Asia. Oiltanking has an overall capacity of 14,5 million cbm.
