November 30, 2011 [easyFairs] - EasyFairs, Europe’s leading organiser of time & cost-effective trade shows, has announced the acquisition of the Storage Terminal Operators’ Conference & Exhibition (StocExpo), a portfolio of international events for the bulk liquid storage sector.
This is the latest in a series of acquisitions from easyFairs, with others in the pipeline. “We are tremendously excited to be organising this very successful event,” said easyFairs CEO Jean François Quentin.
“StocExpo fits perfectly with our industrial shows such as the easyFairs SOLIDS European Series and PUMPS & VALVES. We also see great opportunities to develop this well respected brand.”
Peter Patterson, Managing Director of StocExpo, commented: “Having developed the show for several years, we are very proud that StocExpo has earned its place as the leading international event for the bulk liquid storage sector. We are confident that easyFairs, with its international presence and successful business model, is the right company to take the show to the next level.”
The leading jewel in the StocExpo crown is an annual event, taking place in Europe’s petrochemical capitals of Rotterdam and Antwerp, with the next edition taking place 13-15 March 2012 at Ahoy, Rotterdam. 160 exhibitors and 1554 visitors from around the globe took part last year.
“This is a highly specialised market but a vitally important one in these harbour cities and in similar locations around the world,” said Quentin.
There are three other annual conferences and exhibitions in the portfolio: Tank Storage Canada, Tank Storage Asia (Kuala Lumpur) and Tank Storage Istanbul.
“The shows will continue to be run out of the United Kingdom, now from our easyFairs London offices under the leadership of Matthew Benyon, Managing Director, UK and Ireland, who has a proven track record of running successful international events,” Quentin said. “We are looking forward to a fruitful relationship with Peter Patterson.”
Patterson has entered into a ten-year long term partnership agreement with easyFairs through his company Horseshoe Media, which owns leading industry titles such as Tank Storage magazine.
Sharé Mason, international Sales & Marketing Manager of StocExpo, joins easyFairs as part of the deal.
