Dutch VTTI, Brazil Cattalini to Study Independent Oil Terminal Construction

April 23, 2013 [SeeNews] - Dutch energy storage firm Vitol Tank Terminals International (VTTI) and Brazilian tank terminal operator Cattalini Terminais Maritimos SA signed an agreement to study the construction and operation of an independent crude oil storage terminal in Brazil.


According to a press release of Cattalini, under their strategic joint collaboration agreement, the companies will combine their expertise, know-how, networks, leads and capabilities to develop the project.

Rotterdam-based VTTI offers 8.6 million cu m of combined storage capacity in 14 countries. The company is jointly owned by Swiss-based oil trader Vitol Group and Malaysian MISC Berhad.

In turn, Catallini operates terminals located at Paranagua Port (Cattalini Terminais Paranagua) in southern Brazilian Parana state (Cattalini Terminais Parana). Also, it owns and operates the largest private liquid campus in Brazil, offering 380,000 cu m of storage capacity in 97 tanks.
