Dislub Inaugurates First Stage of a New Tank Terminal in Amazonas
03.18.2013 - NEWS

March 18,  2013 [Petrobras] - A new tank terminal for diesel, ethanol and petroleum products in Amazonas will help Petrobras reduce operational costs. Dislub Group launched this week the first stage of the project: 14 tanks with 50000 cubic meters capacity. When the works finish, the final capacity will be 150000 cubic meters.

Petrobras may celebrate: this new terminal means less costs for its operations as they will be able to bring full cargo carriers to this new terminal in Itacoatiara and from there to Manaus, with just the needed cargo. Before, the company had to bring half-full carriers as the draft in the area does not allow full cargo carriers, although they had to pay the whole freight, which implied quite a loss.

Dislub Group created the company Equador Log to build and operate the terminal, from where they could more easily supply other places in the North region, instead only depending on Manaus.
