December 03, 2012 [Oil & Gas Eurasia] - The Marine Terminal of Caspian Pipeline Consortium has become an award winner of the III International Prize called “Oil Terminal” in the “2012 Stability” nomination.
The awarding ceremony was held as part of the VII Annual International Congress “Oil Terminal 2012”, which was conducted on November 27 – 28 in St. Petersburg.
CIS and Western Europe in various lines of their business. The awarding ceremony is held once every three years. This year more than 40 terminals competed for the right to be announced the best in their business.
CPC Marine Terminal built with the use of the most state-of-the-art technologies and equipment won this prize before. In 2006 it became the winner in the “Best process equipment” nomination and in 2009 in the “Reliable partner” nomination.
This year following a sound judgment of all contestants the Consortium Terminal was announced the best in its nomination as it had demonstrated the sustainable performance metrics throughout more than 10 years.
CPC pipeline system is one of the largest investment projects in the energy industry with participation of foreign capital on the CIS territory. The length of the pipeline connecting the oil fields in Western Kazakhstan with the Marine Terminal near Novorossiysk is 1,511 km.
CPC Marine Terminal is equipped with single point moorings which allow for safe tanker lifting at a considerable distance from the shore, also when the weather conditions are unfavorable.
