Construction of New 450Km³ Oil Products Terminal by Tradebe Port Service in Barcelona Progresses Well

October 22, 2011 [TankTerminals.com] – Trabede is investing about € 50 M in the construction of a new petroleum products terminal at the Port of Barcelona. The 28-tank facility is being built on 2 plots of land of 60,000 m² each on the Muelle de la Energía in the hart of the port.


The newly established company Tradebe Port Service (TPS) will operate the terminal and will employ about 30 staff. The terminal is expected to start operations in the first half of 2013.

The terminal will be equipped with two jetties (maximum draft 16 m.) and can handle ships of up to 285 m. in length. The operations will include the offloading and reloading of tankers, storage, heating and blending as well as reloading products for hinterland distribution.
