Construction of LNG Terminal at Vysotsk Seaport to Commence in 2016

November 28, 2014 [PortNews IAA] - Construction of a terminal for production and transshipment of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the Vyborg district will commence in 2016, press center of the Vyborg District authorities says.


The agreement between the Vyborg District and Cryogas CJSC (100% owned by Gazprombank) on the construction of RUB 30 bln terminal was signed on November 26, 2014. 

Richard Rudnitsky, Cryogas Director General says the production capacity of the terminal will be 660,000 t of LNG per year.

According to Gennady Orlov, head of the district authorities, the terminal will let generate some 100 new jobs. A required social infrastructure will be developed.

Orlov also said Cryogas-Vysotsk firm has already been registered in the Vyborg district and all taxes from the beginning of the construction will feed the budget of the Vyborg district. “Preparatory work is underway,” he said.
 
Joint-Stock Company Cryogas is a producer and supplier of liquefied natural gas. The company started developing LNG production and application technology over a decade ago. Cryogas is a leader in the market of low-tonnage production of LNG in the Russian Federation.
