CHS officials spent Tuesday showing off its newest Missoula fuel terminal.

The $14 million facility sits next to the Yellowstone Pipeline and operates self sufficiently 24 hours a day.
The storage capacity is almost 6,000,000 gallons, and the product is sent back out two trucks at a time.
“The large tanks are atmosphere storage tanks. We can bring it in by pipeline and its goes through filters, or we can bring it in by railcars on the rail spur over there” explained CHS Pipelines and Terminals Manager John Traeger.
The fuel terminal also features an automated self-protection fire system where water and foam are released if a fire were to take place.
CHS provides Cenex customers with gasoline and diesel supplies to consumers, farmers and commercial businesses.
