June 7, 2013 [SeeNews] - Chile's state-owned oil refiner Enap invested nearly USD 140 million (EUR 105.8m) to build a terminal in the San Vicente Bay in Biobio region which was officially opened yesterday.

The terminal had been tested since November 2012, handling over 3.3 million cu m (116.5m cu ft) of products.

It will benefit Chile’s central-southern zone by supplying oil and fuel to and from the Biobio refinery, the company said.

The terminal, which replaces old installations in this area, improves logistics and ensures stable fuel supply for Chile, energy minister Jorge Bunster said.
