August 4, 2016 [Cattalini Terminais Marítimos S.A.] - Cattalini Marine Terminals records currently full occupation of its new tanking storage center (CT4). The new structure, inaugurated in February this year, has 19 tanks with a capacity of 140 thousand cubic meters.

The commencement of the new site operations happened at a favorable moment according to Luke Cezar Guzen, Cattalini’s Commercial Manager, as the fuel prices are in imbalance between the international market and domestic. “The price of fuel produced abroad is more competitive than the domestic, pushing the trading companies and distributors to import,” Guzen said. Moreover, the structure of Cattalini for petroleum products logistics, grants the company a status of main supply point for the country.

The new tank storage center is ready to receive import and export cargo and its construction took place parallel to the installation of new road platforms and dredging of the inner cradle of the pier Cattalini. The new structure represents the first phase of an investment of R$ 450 million (U$138 million) which in a second stage will include the construction of another 21 tanks with a capacity of 160,000 m³.

With these volumes, the company maintains a leading position among the liquid bulk terminals, operating the largest private storage in the country. The investments applied encouraged the increase in the number of personnel. According to the human resources department of the company, in the first half of this year 100 new jobs were created.
