Brazil’s Compass Includes LNG Terminal in 2023 Plans

March 6, 2023 [Argus] – Brazilian natural gas company Compass included the Terminal de Regaseificacao de Sao Paulo (TRSP) LNG regasification terminal in its 2023 capital expenditure budget.

 

The company expects to spend R1.9bn-2.2bn ($364.8mn- 422.4mn) in total in 2023, up from R1.7bn in 2022.

The TRSP terminal will have regasification capacity of 14mn m³/d and storage capacity of 150,000m³ when fully operational.

The company expects its earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortization (Ebtida) to also increase in 2023 to between R3.8bn-4.1bn, from R3.5bn last year.
