They are assessing a total of 129 terminals, 11 of them being for liquid cargo.  According to SEP (Special Port Secretary of Brazil), the investment for those terminals will imply around 11 billion reais and most of those terminals will be located in the Northern regions.

The process to effectively liberate the building of those private terminals shall last 120 days. Once authorized, the entrepreneurs will have 3 years to start operating.

The terminals announced last Wednesday have all the documentation needed to be built. In the meantime, if more companies show interest in the same area, the Government may include them in the process. Applications may be submitted until 5 August. The issue of authorizations will start on September 21.
