September 12, 2024 [Tank Storage]- Aramex UK, one of the UK’s leading global logistics providers servicing the oil and gas sector, has opened a new branch in Aberdeen, Scotland as it looks to enhance its presence within the sector.

Situated in what is dubbed as the Oil Capital of Europe, Aramex UK has strategically chosen Aberdeen as its hub to also open a brand-new warehousing facility to serve new and existing oil and gas customers as a result of it being situated near the city’s world-class port. As a premier port for the oil and gas industry, the Port of Aberdeen has developed into an international hub for energy and trade, largely due to it being located in close proximity to offshore energy projects in the North Sea, while also having direct connections across the globe to more than 40 countries.

From its new facility, Aramex UK will provide its comprehensive range of logistics services including air, ocean, and road freight, as well as warehousing and courier solutions. Heading up the company’s new branch will be Adam Demus, who has stepped into the role of branch manager due to his extensive background serving the sector, where he will be tasked with delivering bespoke and tailored logistics solutions that meet the complex demands of the oil and gas industry.

Demus, along with his experienced project team, will focus on addressing the most challenging logistics requirements for Aramex UK customers, including handling project cargo, out-of-gauge shipments, and complex OCTG (Oil Country Tubular Goods) moves.

Recognising Aberdeen’s pivotal role in the global energy landscape, Aramex UK national freight manager Haissam Badr has asserted that the company’s new facility will not only strengthen its footprint in the oil and gas industry but also enhance its capabilities to provide a more localised and efficient logistics solution.

Badr comments: ‘We are delighted to be expanding our UK reach into Scotland by opening up a brand-new branch in Aberdeen, headed up by our nranch manager Adam Demus, which will enable us to support energy customers both new and existing in a more refined and localised capacity. Having gone through a stringent process of selecting a strategic location for our base of operations, we felt that opening up a warehousing facility in Aberdeen was an obvious choice – primarily as a result of its reputation as the Oil Capital of Europe along with its impressive global connectivity. We are excited to complement our comprehensive end-to-end logistics solutions with seamless shipping and specialised air freight services, which ensures that our oil and gas customers benefit from a full range of reliable, efficient, and timely transportation options tailored to their needs.’
