EUROPE: Port of Skagen Oil Terminal Becomes Part of Bunker One’s Global Network
06.08.2020 By Greta Talmaci - NEWS

May 08, 2020 [Bunkerspot] – To be operated by Bunker Holding company, Unioil, the Skagen terminal deal supports Bunker One’s ambition to strengthen its position in Scandinavia ‘by broadening the portfolio of services available to customers in the region’.

As reported by Bunkerspot, yesterday (1 June), Monjasa disclosed that it had accepted ‘an attractive offer from Unioil) to take over the terminal at Skagen. The facility had been operated by Monjasa for the past five years.

The addition of the oil terminal adds to Bunker One’s portfolio in Denmark – it already has storage facilities in Copenhagen and Aarhus. The Skagen facility comprises eight tanks with a combined capacity of 42,000 cubic metres.

Carsten Klausen, Managing Director, Bunker One, commented on the development: ‘We have had a very positive dialogue and process with Monjasa about taking over the very well-run terminal in Skagen and we are proud of closing a deal that benefits all parties.

‘We look forward to a great collaboration with the Port of Skagen, and we are committed to further develop this very important Scandinavian bunkering hub.’
