September 27, 2024 [Storage Terminals Magazine]- Chane Terminal Geulhaven has proudly announced the completion of its latest expansion, dubbed “Phase Two,” which adds an impressive 75,000 cubic metres of storage capacity to the facility.
Located in the port of Rotterdam, the terminal now boasts a total storage capacity of 150,000 cbm, with the latest phase primarily focusing on feedstocks and biofuels.
The expansion project was completed in record time, with a multidisciplinary team preparing the terminal for operation in just nine months. The official opening took place on 25 September 2024, marking a significant milestone for the terminal.

The company has extensive experience in the storage of sustainable fuels, both in the Netherlands and internationally, making it a key player in the burgeoning biofuels market.
Verbeek highlighted the success of the project, noting, “The construction and commissioning phases for this project have been completed without any major incidents.
