August 30, 2022 [ Reuters ] – German pipeline operator Gascade said on Tuesday it would provide what is expected to be the first pipeline connecting liquid natural gas (LNG) to the German gas network.

The pipeline, measuring a few hundred meters in length, will connect a first floating storage regasification unit (FSRU) to a landing station near the town of Lubmin, according to Gascade.

The pipeline with a feed-in capacity of approximately 6 gigawatt-hours per hour should be built before the end of 2022, said Gascade.
