June 07, 2019 [Baltic Times] – Jan-Willem Bots joined the board and became managing director of the crude oil and petroleum product storage company ““Ventspils nafta” termināls” LLC. (VNT).

Bots embarked on his career with VTTI, the Rotterdam-headquartered global independent energy storage provider and VNT shareholder, in 2010 and has been involved in development of new terminal projects from the technical side. In 2015 he was appointed the VTTI terminal EuroTank Amsterdam (ETA) as operations manager, and became a member of its management team in 2016. Jan-Willem Bots holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Delft University of Technology.

Assuming his new position, Bots said: “VNT must remain the top-ranking terminal in the Baltics in terms of efficiency and customer service excellence in order to continue attracting and retaining sustainable business in a challenging transit sector where logistical flows cannot be taken for granted. Therefore, we will continue to focus on offering proactive support to our customers’ business, on our unrivalled safety performance, on environmentally responsible operations and on a continuous drive for efficiency.”

Having the best people on board was crucial to the terminal’s continuing success, he added: “We will never stop looking for talent and making sure we offer them opportunities that are exciting, fun and empower them. In this way, we can realise our ambition to ensure that everyone goes home safe and happy at the end of the day.”
