ATLHA Builds New Oil Terminal Duisburg, Germany
01.04.2018 - NEWS

January 4, 2018 [ATLHA] - The new terminal company ATLHA Terminals has secured the exclusive rights to develop a liquid bulk storage terminal in the port of Duisburg, Germany. The terminal will be 75.000 cbm in size and will focus on the storage of distillates, gasoline and gasoline components.

The lease agreement with the port of Duisburg has been signed and ATLHA has completed first design plans to start applying for the required permits. The terminal will be underpinned by 7-10 year ‘take-or-pay’ offtake agreements, with Letters of Intent (LOIs) already signed by several oil trading companies. The port of Duisburg connects Rotterdam, the gateway of Europe, with the rest of Germany and Switzerland, with 20,000 ships and 20,000 trains transiting through the port per year. The new location will have access by rail, barge (max 135m LOA) and road. The expected timing to be fully operational in Q2 of 2020. See www.atlha.com for more info.
