Throughput of Ust-Luga Oil Terminal to Grow by 16%, year-on-year, to 28 M t in 2015

November 26, 2015 [PortNews IAA] - Throughput of Ust-Luga Oil terminal will grow by some 16%, year-on-year, to 28 mln t in 2015, IAA PortNews correspondent cites Aleksei Radchenko, Deputy Director General of Ust-Luga Oil OJSC, as telling the participants of Oil Terminal 2015 Forum during their visit to the terminal.


According to Aleksei Radchenko, transshipment of light oil products is to make 10.7 mln t including 8 mln t of stable gas condensate produced by NOVATEK and 17.5 mln t of heavy fuel oil.

Transshipment of petrol produced by Kirishi refinery will be stopped in the future and the terminal will handle only light oil products, stable gas condensate and naphta.

In 2016, the terminal is expected to handle 28.2 mln t of products.

Ust-Luga Oil has become fully operational this year with dark oil products accounting for 19 mln t of the terminal’s capacity and light oil products – for 11 mln t.

Ust-Luga Oil OJSC owns and operates an oil product terminal at the seaport of Ust-Luga. It is the largest terminal in Russia to transship oil products from railway transport to sea-going tankers. The terminal’s design capacity is 30 mln t per year. The tank farm’s capacity is 960,000 cbm. The three berths stretch for 1 km. Four tank car unloading racks can handle 526 tank cars at a time.
