October 26, 2015 [PortNews IAA] - In January-September 2014, Tuapse Commercial Seaport handled 11 mln t of cargo (+13%, year-on-year), the Company’s press center says.
In the reported period, transshipment of dry cargo climbed by 9% to 5.1 mln t including 1.5 mln t of ferrous metal (+25%), 1.2 mln t of grain (+11%) and 2.1 mln t of coal (+1%).
Transshipment of oil cargo climbed by 17% to 5.9 mln t.
Exports that make the bulk of the Company’s cargo flow (98%) rose 14% to 10.7 mln t while imports fell 5% to 0.3 mln t.
In January-September 2015, the port handled 572 vessels (300 dry cargo ships and 272 tankers) and 71,724 rail cars.
OJSC Tuapse Commercial Seaport (TCSP) is the major operator at the port of Tuapse, one of Russia’s largest ports. TCSP is part of UCL Port, a stevedoring division of international transport group UCL Holding. UCL Port comprises OJSC Sea Port St. Petersburg, CJSC Container Terminal Saint Petersburg, Universal Handling Terminal LLC based in North-West of Russia, and Taganrog port in the South. In 2014, Tuapse Commercial Seaport handled 13.1 mln t of cargo.
