July 13, 2015 [Reuters] - Two liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargoes are to be exported from the Gate terminal in the Netherlands at the end of the month, trade sources with knowledge of the matter said.
German utility RWE has purchased one of the cargoes while Austrian-based Econgas has set up the other, the sources said.
Austria-based Econgas owns long-term capacity at the terminal.
Gate, built to import LNG, can also reload cargoes held in storage for export to higher-paying markets.
Between one and two loading slots are currently being offered for August and September each, sources said.
Reloadings at north-west European LNG terminals, such as Gate, Belgium’s Zeebrugge or Britain’s Isle of Grain, can affect supply balances and influence gas prices on traded hubs.
