February 9, 2015 [Argus Media] - Argus Media is pleased to announce its media partnership with Tank Terminals for Argus Mediterranean Storage and Logistics 2015, scheduled to take place in Malta on 25-26 February.
The 2015 conference will address the latest developments in oil markets and analyse their effects on the profitability of storage, such as Opec’s recent decision not to curb output and the strong growth in US tight oil production have depressed prices of oil for short term delivery.
The understanding of the evolution of these price relationships will be crucial to companies that own or use storage facilities in the region.
Acting supporting partners of the conference, FETSA, The Pipelines Industries Guild and the European Bulk Oil Trading Association (EBOTA) will be helping to position the new Mediterranean as an attractive investment zone for those involved in storage and logistics. These efforts may provide tangible results and bolster the European Union External Action’s EUROMED initiative, which aims to promote economic integration and democratic reform across 16 neighbours to the EU’s south in North Africa and the Middle East.
Advisory board members and speakers consisting of commercial, industrial and municipal figureheads helped shape the structure of the two-day programme, including:
- Hon. Joe Mizzi, the Minister for Transport and Infrastructure
- Marc de Witte of the Federation of European Tank Storage Associations (FETSA)
- Mohamed Daoud, Quality Manager for Engineering and Projects at Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO)
- Representatives from other authorities from across the Euro-Mediterranean landscape.
Argus Mediterranean Storage and Logistics expects to play host to a similar demographic as last year’s parent event hosted in South Africa; with:
- Vopak
- Total
- Oiltanking
- TSL Logistics
- Pinnacle Oil and Gas
- Trafigura Services
- Engen Petroleum
- Colas South Africa
And several high-profile oil companies, traders, refineries, operational heads and commercial managers from terminals, storage owners and tank technology, construction and maintenance service providers from across Southern Europe, Turkey, the Levant and North Africa to discuss the major issues facing the industry.
The conference has also attracted various sponsors and exhibitors from related industries, such as Honeywell Enraf, LOTIS, ChemieTech, KANON and Concrete Canvas.
The full agenda, list of attendees, exhibitors, registration and sponsorship details are now available on the Argus Mediterranean Storage and Logistics 2015 webpage.
