June 09, 2014 [WSJ] - The preliminary sales revenues of SC Klaipedos Nafta (hereinafter - "the Company") for May 2014 amounts to LTL 8.9 million (EUR 2.6 million); that is less by 23.6 percent less compared to May 2013 (i.e. LTL 7.2 million or EUR 2.1 million).


In May 2013 the Refinery of SC Orlen Lietuva was under scheduled maintenance shutdown, therefore the oil products manufacturing and transhipment through Company’s terminal in that period was lower.

During May 2014 the Company reloaded 471 thousand tons of oil products into its storage tanks while during the May 2013 – 388 thousand tons, i.e. higher by 21.4 percent.

The preliminary sales revenues of the Company for the first five months of 2014 comprise LTL 49.9 million (EUR 14.5 million) and are lower by 21.5 percent compared to the same period of 2013 (LTL 63.6 or EUR 18.4 million).

The Company during January – May of 2014 reloaded 2,094 thousand tons of oil products into its storage tanks, while during the same period of 2013 — 3,126 thousand tons.

The transhipment during five months of 2014, compared to the same period of 2013, is lower by 33.0 percent.

The reduced transshipment was influenced mainly by the fact that the major client of the Company AB Orlen Lietuva delivered less products in the terminal because have reduced manufacturing volume of oil products in connection with the dropped oil product margins.
