Environmental Impact Report CBL Tank Terminals, Ghent, Open for Public Inspection

December 3, 2012 [TankTerminals.com] - The Municipality of Ghent, Belgium, has announced that the Environmental Impact Report for the planned CBL Tank Terminals project in the Port of Ghent is available for public review.


The Environmental Impact Report states that Companhia Brasileira de Logistica (CBL) has the intention to build a 294,000 m³ tank terminal in the Port of Ghent. CBL is planning to invest in a terminal on a site of over 8 hectares at the Kluizendok. The terminal is expected to comprise 35 tanks of between 5,000 m³ and 10,000 m³ for petroleum products and bio-fuels. It will have 350 metres of quay length at its disposal for a yearly planned transhipment of 875,000 tonnes.

Companhia Brasileira de Logistica belongs to the Brazilian Interalli Group. The group is active in maritime storage and logistics of agricultural products. The group operates a specialized terminal in the port of Paranagua in Brazil.
