November 26, 2012 [Manila Builletin] - Jetti Petroleum Inc. (JETTI)’s P1-billion new investments for oil storage facilities and new retail stations recently got the nod for registration at the Board of Investments (BOI).
With the registration, JETTI will get incentives for its two fuel terminals – the newly opened five million-liter capacity JETTI Iloilo Bulk Terminal in Iloilo City, and the company’s biggest import and bulk terminal yet to be constructed in Mariveles, Bataan that has a planned capacity of 62 million liters.
New stations it will put up to complement these two storage facilities will enjoy the same perks as well.
Jetti’s total investments for the construction of the Iloilo and Mariveles fuel depots, plus the construction of 10 stations in North Luzon and 18 stations in Western Visayas are estimated to reach P1 billion.
In a statement, JETTI Corporate Affairs Manager Leo Bellas said the investment could go up to P1.2 billion as they put up more retail stations.
“The BOI registration will be key to our vision of a nationwide operations. It will be a big boost in continuing our mission to make high quality and reasonably priced fuel products accessible to a larger number of Filipinos,” said Bellas.
JETTI has been known for being a catalyst for tempering fuel prices in its host communities nationwide. Jetti’s operations has helped contribute in providing a stable supply of competitively priced fuel products in Visayas and Mindanao, and even in Metro Manila where motorists find JETTI’s reasonably priced fuels a respite to high fuel prices.
“Jetti is heavily investing in the country’s downstream oil industry. As an all Filipino-owned company, we want to be able to help in the progress of different areas in the country by providing them more options for fuel sources,” said Bellas.
With the opening of the Iloilo bulk terminal in September of this year and the target completion of the company’s Mariveles fuel depot by end of 2013, Jetti will now have a total of four fuel terminals. The other terminals are the 46 million-liter capacity import and bulk terminal in Jetti Petroleum Tagaloan, Misamis Oriental and the 16 million-liter capacity bulk terminal in Jetti Petroleum Naic, Cavite.
