May 21, 2012 [Tebodin] - Stolthaven Terminals has recently acquired the site of Den Hartogh at Moerdijk. On this site Stolthaven currently operates a bulk liquid storage terminal and a tank container depot. There are also facilities for handling, filling and storage of packaged chemicals.
With the acquisition of the tank storage terminal at Den Hartogh site, Stolthaven has further expanded its network of tank terminals in Western Europe. In addition, the site offers a large undeveloped plot with opportunities for future growth.
Tebodin is supporting Stolthaven in the modification of the environmental permit for current and future activities. The activities are related to a new tank container terminal, an office building, a rail and truck loading station and additional tank pits.
Recently, Tebodin was awarded a contract for the engineering of two tank for the storage of hydrochloric acid (HCI) and 5 tanks of toxic fluids, a total of 14,000 m³ storage capacity. An integrated team of consultants and engineers from several disciplines will work closely together to ensure a safe design. The project will be completed at the beginning of July 2013.
