February 28, 2012 [Columbia Basin Herald] - Conoco-Phillips is adding a new tank at its gasoline and fuel distribution terminal on Stratford Road near Moses Lake.
Preparatory work began in November, with tank construction in January, explained Jeff Callender, a Conoco-Phillips spokesperson. The 10,000 barrel tank’s completion is scheduled for June.
“Once the tank is complete, unleaded gasoline distributed from our Moses Lake Terminal will contain 10 percent ethanol,” he stated.
The unleaded gasoline comes from refineries in Montana via the Yellowstone Pipeline, he explained.
“Numerous distributors load product from the Moses Lake Terminal for delivery throughout the Pacific Northwest,” he commented.
Moses Lake is a distribution facility for transportation fuels, connected to Conoco-Phillips’ Spokane terminal by pipeline. Operations began in 1962. Two employees work at the Moses Lake terminal and receive support from workers at the Spokane terminal.
