ITC Rubis Terminal Antwerp N.V. Expands Storage Capacity

February 1, 2012 [ITC Rubis] - ITC Rubis Terminal Antwerp is pleased to announce the start of the construction of an additional 39.000 cubic metres storage capacity for chemicals at its facility in Antwerp - Left Bank.


In October 2010, ITC Rubis Terminal Antwerp started operation of the storage terminal with an initial capacity of 71.050 cubic metres dedicated for the storage of chemicals and gasses.

Following the success of the initial start-up, the new construction project completes the  first phase of ITC Rubis Terminal Antwerp, which consists of 39.000 cubic metres of added chemical storage capacity.

The new storage capacity, comprising low-pressure mild  and stainless steel tanks is scheduled to be commissioned in two steps in the 1st and 2nd quarters of 2013 respectively.
 
ITC Rubis Terminal Antwerp has secured sufficient land to expand the terminal to a total of approximately 800.000 cubic metres for further chemical, petroleum and gas storage combined with  state of the art marine and land facilities.

ITC Rubis Terminal Antwerp is a joint venture between Rubis Terminal (France), Intercontinental Terminals Company “ITC” (Houston, USA) and Mitsui& Co Europe (London).
